24 Days of Impact in Kenya and Uganda!
We're Back From Africa!
God Has Done Great Things!
24 days of fruitful ministry in Kenya and Uganda could not be stopped by a Kenya Air strike, Ebola plague, trip delays or 4 years of extreme drought in Maasai land.  God used my partner Gil Harder and myself in reaching the lost and hurting with the Good News of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

We sensed the prayers of our friends who lifted us up each day before the Lord and we saw a harvest that could only come from the blessing of God on our journey.

Our in-country partners filled our days with opportunities to teach, reach and to serve many in great need and we saw many call on the Lord for forgiveness and eternal life!

Church Ministry
Victory Outreach Churches in Lira, Uganda were our base for ministry this year, with our hosts Apollo and Jacqueline Nyakori filled our cups with blessings with their servant hearts and all the work done to provide outreach opportunities while with them for 10 days.
Radio Broadcasts
Apollo has been using radio broadcasts in Lira for some time to share the Good News of Jesus to the entire region each week.

Gil and Randy joined him several times to share the Word of God via this tool which is still widely listened to in Africa.
Pastor's Luncheon
Our deep relationship with many of the Lira Bishops, Pastors and their wives started back in 2009 when Gil and I first launched Africa Hope Bible Institute in Lira, teaching new students the Word of God and preparing them for ministry.

The Lira Pastor's Fellowship not only blessed the fledgling work but also agreed to teach the first year for no salary.

These men of God poured themselves out for the students and it was a blessing to reconnect with them and to praise God together for all He has done!

High School Outreach
What High School can gather 600 students at 6am in the morning to hear the Word of God and to worship Him together?

It happened in Lira where Gil, Randy and Apollo had the privilege to speak and see about 30 students give their lives to the Lord.. Praise God!
Discipleship
Joshua and Rebecca, who are resident missionaries in Kenya, have been discipling many young couples in Nairobi and taking them to  reach  the Maasai villages a couple hours south of the city.

What an encouragement to see this group of committed believers growing in the knowledge of the Lord and putting their faith into action with eternal fruit as the outcome.

We were blessed to join the team in serving the Maasai.
Bible College Reunion
Around 30 of the 50 Africa Hope Bible Institute students were able to join us for a reunion and to share what the Lord has done in their lives since graduating from our Bible School which began in 2009.

There was great joy when we were able to hear of new Bible Schools started, Churches planted, thousands of lives impacted through ongoing discipleship and missions to surrounding countries lifting up the name of our Lord Jesus.

We were humbled, encouraged and continue giving all the praise and glory to our great God!

Maasai Salvation

The Maasai have been suffering greatly  because of a multi-year drought that is killing their cattle, sheep and goats daily.

Randy and Gil joined the Nairobi team camping in the village, sharing the Jesus film in the evenings,  teaching during the day and going house to house to share Jesus and to pray for family needs.

We rejoiced greatly as the Lord brought many into the family of God and the work continues with our partners there.

Randy was given a Maasai name of Lemayien, which means 'blessed one'  and Gil is now called 'Saruni' which means 'Help'.

Together 20 Maasai villages were touched by the ministry which continues.
Hospital Ministry
One of my favorite outreaches is to the local hospitals.  I have been to the Lira Regional Hospital many times reaching those in times of pain and suffering with the hope of the Good News of Jesus and prayers for healing.

This time, we focused on the Mom's and Babies Ward where young babies with a variety of serious health issues waited treatment.

One Mom had been there for 6 months and still had not seen her baby recover.

Each one was prayed for and at least 3 mothers prayed to invite Jesus into their lives to be their Lord and Savior.

Desks for Kids
400 children at the Gil Harder Academy enjoy attending school each day but many did not have a desk to sit at to study.

Thanks to a Youth Group at a Church in California, the funds were raised to purchase materials and our team, along with the students, bullt 70 desks plus learned some woodworking skills that they will take with them and will be useful for years to come.

We also provided many essential goods to help the teachers who work so hard for so little.
